Yes, today is our aniversary! I was looking over some of our past pictures and reminded of what it was that initially brought us together. These pictures kind of tell the story, an adventure.......
The first real date we had we met near Mt Hood. We drove aimlessly in the woods until we decided to get out and look at the beauty of nature we happened to run upon. That was the whole date right there, I love that he appreciated this as much as I do.
When we first got married, we did nothing but hike mountains and camp in our little tent. It was stretching for me at times because I am such a organizer. Jim is soooooo spontaneous that way. He would come home from work, (on a whim) we would get 'stuff' together, and again, drive aimlessly until we were ready to pitch a tent. I didn't know what a camp ground was with him. The more remote the better. Usually by a creek deep into the woods. We have seen some beautiful places. This all came to a screeching halt when we had babies.........I needed notice, I needed a way of warming up baby food, and we bought a camper, we learned what a camp ground was.Different? Yes, but still good.
I pray that the next 19 years will be an adventure that the Lord will take us on that will grow us closer to Him, to each other, and to raise our kids in the way they should go. He knows the desires of my heart, for that I am grateful.
So, congratulations to us!
